well we're in a heat watch.. according to the weather channel anways.. (which has been my favorite channel for a few days now)... all I said when the guy said "your local area is in a heat advisory. please stay indoors and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun" was "no shit! really? I thought we were having a blizzard!"
so I have the next 2 days off... which is nice.. I need to get wednesday off so I can go back home and grab a few things...
which brings me to a realization I made earlier today.. a realization about living on my own..
being on your own... well it's cool! you live by your own rules, you dont really have to worry about when you get to bed or wake up (unless you have plans), you dont worry about hearing "hey! who ate all the ____?!?!" because it all belongs to you! you can walk around the house in your boxer-shorts if you want to!
(which I have made a habit of... yes even with Maree and Brian around... no, I dont lounge around in my boxers in the living room, but i'll make the trip to the kitchen from my bedroom in my boxers and not worry about them seeing me...)
I've found, though, that even though i'm living by my own rules, I still tend to follow rules my parents set for me since I was a kid... sometimes it's annoying... i'll be halfway through it and be like 'wait.. i dont have to do this anymore..' but i'll finish doing it anyways...
today however.. was weird... apparently our landlord dropped by.. our landlord is Brian's boss, so he knows them rather well.. he walks in the house and goes "Maaaaarrreeeeeeeee! your big lovey dovey boyfriend is here! Maaaaarrreeeeeeeee! your big lovey dovey boyfriend is here!"
I swear I wanted to laugh but they would've heard me.. lol! I'm assuming Brian was with him... but it just cracked me up...
I found out my waterbed has a small leak in it... found out first by sitting on it and realizing that my butt touched the wood underneath... I was like "oh.. that can't be good.."
so this morning I reached under my mattress and yep.. there's water down there... gggreat... now i have to drain my bed, flip the mattress, and find this leak.. then patch it with an *imaginary* patch kit, and fill it back up again...
dont worry, the carpet or anything doesnt get wet... there's a water-proof liner, just for this reason... my blankets and sheets and stuff havent gotten wet yet.. but if i wait long enough, they will...
when i go home i'm gonna grab the patch kit.. or ask them where they got one...
